Henri Lebasque - Peintures
Henri Lebasque (Champigné, 25 septembre 1865 – Le Cannet, 7 août 1937) – peintre français du post-impressionnisme.
Henri Lebasque se forme à l´Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris, puis il travaille dans l´atelier de Bonnat et commence bientôt à exposer ses tableaux au Salon de Paris. Un voyage en Angleterre lui fait découvrir Turner. En France il fait la connaissance de Camille Pissarro qui l´influencera beaucoup. Lebasque a une prédilection pour les couleurs lumineuses et les motifs empreints de sérénité, en particulier les scènes de plage et les paysages d´été. On le surnomme « le peintre de la lumière et de la joie ». Il travaille à la décoration de plusieurs théâtres parisiens avant de devenir peintre des armées en 1917. En 1925 il reçoit l´ordre d´officier de la Légion d´honneur.
