Charles Francois Daubigny - Paintings

Charles François Daubigny was a French landscape painter of Realism.
Born on February 15, 1817 in Paris.
Died on February 19, 1878 in Paris.
Charles François Daubigny was educated as a conventional artist and studied at the Ecole des Beaux- Arts. Only after ten years, in which he had already been participating in exhibitions of the Paris salons, he reached his breakthrough with some landscape portraits painted with the plein-air painting technique. Like his friend Camille Corot, he had a very keen sense of observation for atmospheric landscapes. His late work tends towards the typical Impressionist dissolution of form, influenced by his acquaintance with Claude Monet and Gustave Courbet.
